The most common question that most pastors and church leaders ask themselves is "Where do I start in revitalizing my church?" Revitalizing a church can seem like a daunting task, but there are some key steps that pastors and church leaders can take to begin the process of transforming their church into an active and vibrant center of the Christian community. The first step that pastors should take is to prayerfully assess the current state of the church. This will involve reflecting on the church's current successes and challenges to better understand where changes need to be made. That understanding can come only from God himself. God has provided us with an example of how revitalization and revival can take place in a church. This book will enlighten and inform on the way that God intends for his church to be vibrant and alive again in the community of believers and surrounding neighbors. Using Scripture as the pattern and guide, readers will gain confidence and courage to move their church forward in revitalization.

God’s Pattern for Revitalization

Restoring Order and Purpose to God’s Church

“I find Rev. Rob Beckett’s writing to be easy to understand and engaging. Not surprisingly I also find Rob to be easy to understand and engaging. He writes like he speaks, and he speaks like he lives. What you see is what you get. You don’t have to wonder what Rob is up to. He’ll tell you, and then he’ll show you.”
—Scott J. Sherwood, president, Nazarene Bible College

Rob has carefully laid out not only the crisis in many of our churches today but provided glorious hope for our restoration and destiny! • Is the church I pastor worth the same effort that any other church is worth?

If you are saying "ABSOLUTELY YES" while reading these questions, then it's time for you to buy '“Fanning the Revitalization Flame.” Let's get your church working, so you can enjoy a kingdom expanding church again!

Here's What Other Church Leaders Are Saying

To say this is not your ordinary revitalization book is to put it mildly. Most books on revitalization start with techniques and strategies necessary to see revitalization happen. It seems many believe that if you just do the things in these books, the church will grow numerically and grow in health.

Robert, on the other hand, focuses on perspective and orientation. His basic premise is that before you start doing steps to move toward revitalization, it is important to have a right perspective (focus) concerning what God wants of His church and then to gain the right orientation (direction) before starting out on the journey of revitalization.

If you are looking for a quick fix for your ailing church, this is not the book for you. However, if you are wanting to build something that will last for a generation, this book may offer insights that might be helpful.

My recommendation is that if you are looking at books to read concerning revitalization, read this book first.

Dr. Jeff Clark
